In this section, you’ll find funders who have included healing as an integral part of the social service and social change work they fund. They recognize that survivors of violence are part of every movement for change, and that institutions like the criminal justice and immigration systems can themselves be traumatizing.

Increasing Awareness: Survivors Trauma

If you are a young man of color who has been harmed, for example, shot, stabbed, assaulted, or witnessed violence, then this section is for you. United for Healing Equity is here to offer you support. In this section you can learn about what it means to be a victim of crime, how trauma may have impacted you, and ways you can work to heal from that trauma. Additionally, you can also find organizations in your area to connect with if you are in need of support, including a variety of practical services, like help with jobs, school, or building new skills, as well as counseling opportunities.
